Solo de Pajarillo-flauta sola

Based on the Venezuelan rhythm called Pajarillo. In this theme Omar Acosta tries to imitate the technical inflections and melodic turns used by the instruments originally used for the joropo, such as the cuatro, the harp and the Venezuelan bandola.

It has been recorded and played countless times by both Acosta and other great soloists, this being, possibly, the Latin American work for solo flute, most played and recorded throughout the world.
